The Guillotine was originally conceived in 2499 as a formidable front-line BattleMech for the Terran Hegemony. For generations, it served as the Star League Defense Force's standard heavy 'Mech, renowned for its reliability and ample armament during its era. Although technological progress eventually led to the creation of even more powerful machines, the Guillotine remains an iconic symbol of heavy warfare from the Star League era.
