The Cicada is a BattleMech introduced in 2740 by HartfordCo Industries, designed to compete directly with the popular Locust. Matching the Locust's speed, but nearly twice as large, the Cicada boasts improved weaponry and enhanced physical combat capabilities. Despite HartfordCo's limited prior experience with 'Mechs, their approach kept costs low while delivering a durable, cost-effective machine for recon and combat roles.
