Battleaxe

Emerging in 2459, the BattleAxe prototype redefined standard BattleMech capabilities with its blend of lasers and missiles. Through fifteen years of innovation, its speed rose by a third, and designers slimmed down the cockpit and armor for increased agility. In the late 2460s, concerned about maneuverability, engineers were inspired by the WSP-1 Wasp to equip the BattleAxe with experimental jump jets, enabling it to leap over obstacles with ease and dominate the battlefield with unparalleled versatility.
