The Apollo was designed by Earthwerks Incorporated in response to a Free Worlds League Military request for a medium fire support BattleMech. Referred to internally as the “mini-Archer”, the Apollo was modeled on the venerable design, and sought to achieve similar bombardment capability in a chassis fifteen tons lighter.
